Poverty Golf Club 16 – 19 February 2026

The NZ Women’s Senior Matchplay Championships began with challenging conditions, as strong winds added a degree of difficulty to the qualifying round at Poverty Bay Golf Course.

Tournament Directors, Kerali Golf, are pleased to report that competitors have travelled from across New Zealand and Australia to take part in this national event and are enjoying the Awapuni Links course.

Congratulations to Allison Blake-Wells from The Dunes, Matarangi Golf Club – the winner of the ‘Closest to the Pin’ competition on Monday during the qualifying round.  Allison goes in the draw for the Craigs Road to the NZ Open Competition 2027.

Round One of matchplay delivered tightly contested games across all six divisions, with several matches extending beyond 18 holes.
